Chapter 55 - Perception of Fear in an Afghan
There must be conflict within their souls, so the time's scope can reflect and refine.. Tom continued his lesson. Mind is like a muscle, except its start and ending are like two distinct addresses.. Our hopes mingle with time, and connect us to the beginning, so we can make our plans come true.. That we can have choices.. Have inspirations
Seems like some lit shit, Larchen responded drably. Let's move.. Time's wastin... Let's mingle, with democracy... as you say..
Tom almost lost his cool, but didn't say anything.
...
There were no easy challenges in life, as one sometimes thought there were. Larchen looked at the town marketplace, each section stood as a challenge of this sort. He decided to test his luck at all of them and still.. not do whatever
Tom said..
He approached the string of stalls, then pushed someone into one with a silent untraceable move.
Tom sighed.. this guy was..
The villager sprawled onto several more stalls, creating chaos.. Disrupting entire flow of the marketplace at work.. The focus started to pick up again, as if it was a double helix. Larchen thought this concept even if wrong was so legendary..
It was like a person within another person's clothes in the time stream. You just could not disrupt it to stop it.
When you first interacted with it, like rock to keel a spire, it reacted better. He had long long time to think in
the boring farm days in the bandit life. There was nothing to do, but to think.
Any time now, a well-fed, square faced, state sponsored, "regular" well mannered villager would step up, and talk people into its mind's strange and stable turns, as if it was churning a non stop .. morality or applicableness.. Then, its youth would appear, they would be the master of everything social. So the market would close on itself, as if it was a bitter slave in a prison complex.
Larchen tried to watch, all life or sun energy, bounce around the place all at once, trying to keep track of them by
his own skill only.
As he observed many, many times by now, culture itself initially concluded its own opinion before hand, so the middle interaction was the same every time. The opera ended in this manner.
This was a painful experience... as usual.. If life was a studio, Larchen was the one whom never get employed.. Things always ended up in the same manner.. He felt so depressed cause entire world wanted him depressed. He couldn't break out of it, but the public were fresh crisp, dangerous.. It created a prison, or a mismatch.
A woman in clergy clothes were looking at him. Their look went back and forth.. and forth and back.. as if
it was ping pong.. Larchen could tell, obviously she knew what he did.. It must have been strange to her to
see Larchen so depressed, so much that he wanted to sink to earth and dissolved where he stood..
Women were creatures of perception after all..
She looked interested too, if he really bothered to look. He tried to recover his mood slowly.. Regardless,
it looked like she was someone important.. perhaps she was leader of the church in the town..
Larchen didn't know who she was, his mind went to fantastic things, such as it was a deity or the eldress' spirit.. To
protect him, from madness in her own mind, from taking over him. Larchen felt much calmer.. and stable. He
rechanted many things he memorized over the years, things from ethics books, the wisdom remained of
various cultivation levels.
Could she be a guest from the fortress north ? She didn't make any signals.. Fear lied in the fields... isn't it ?
....
She approached with a few people on her side. Hello, i'm the.. owner of the brewing facilities in town. We few manage it by ourselves... She said.
Lachen relaxed, it was the rage of the mob, still.. He let his breath out, exhaling.. settling in known ground...
I've heard of a strange encounter in the town hall, heard it by one of my valuable friends.. It was quite an odd story.. Her husband banned her out of the house, he happens to be my brother..
Larchen felt his panic retreat and simmer.. Normal things, as normal things went.
Okay, that is nice, What are those things you are wearing ? The uniform looks really.. good.
The woman was caught unprepared for his friendly advance.. Oh well, i'm almost obligated to appear and look good, in my brewing business, but the tailor over did it this time, i'm unhappy about this much attention.
They look good on you, make you look like a hungry raven, projecting strength upon others.
She grinned, that was the idea.
